There is something about making it six weeks with a newborn that is an accomplishment. Our brother-in-law Joe (and baby Sam’s middle-name-sake) gave us the phrase “the new normal” and it usually takes about 6 weeks of attending to the little one to discover who he is and who we are with him. Our mornings are filled with coffee, tea, toast, and homemade jam (thanks Nana Paschall); we watch Marley and Me probably once or twice a day, or maybe we’ll mix it up with Finding Nemo, playing trains, and I do work somewhere in there, also Anjuli amazingly finds the time to take some beautiful pictures. Here’s some of the boys for you to enjoy:

For those of you that have been following us on Manoah’s blog, welcome to our new blog. We found it appropriate to switch for a variety of reasons; our family is more than just Manoah, Manoah is no longer a “baby boy” and we wanted to be able to do a little more with our blog so we moved over here to WordPress.
Here’s a quick update to catch everyone up on what’s been going on in the our life the past couple of weeks.
Tuesday May 19th at 8:09 a.m. Samuel Joseph Cash Paschall was born by Cesarian at Pomerado Hospital in Poway, CA (this process a second time around was certainly a lot less frightening!)
Thursday May 21st around noon they released us from the hospital, we picked up Manoah at Ama Maneevone’s house and brought our family home for the first time as a tribe of four.
Sunday May 24th 11:00 a.m. We won the opportunity to have baby Sam photographed by a local photographer whose work is amazing (see her work here, photo’s of Sam and family coming in a couple weeks).
Monday May 25th spent the whole day around Papa and Nana Paschall’s pool. Manoah loves the jacuzzi and “1…2…3… JUMP!” into the deep end with daddy. Baby Sam sleeps all day except for the typical pit stops to unleash massive amounts of gas, poop, urine (he’s got a turbo jet and can pee almost as far as his daddy, not bad for a week old!). Oh and he loves to eat “mommy’s milk” as we have taught Manoah so that he understands Sam can’t eat Cheez-Its.
Wednesday May 27th was Baby Sam’s first Pediatric check-up… always a little nervous but he came through with flying colors – Praise Jesus.
Thursday May 28th more pictures with Carrie, this time family shots. Anjuli had her check-up with her OB Dr. Maresh (Manoah loves to say that he is making mommy feel better and taking her band-aids off). Anjuli is doing great and recovering much faster than the first C-section, way to go honey, I’m proud of you.
Friday May 29th we realized that all of you may want to know what’s been going on so I sat down while Anjuli took a rejuvinating shower and put this together.
Stay tuned for more posts.
